Alright so asset creation took a lot outta me. I wanted to go through the full process of making the things myself while grabbing a couple (literally couple, as in two, like a fridge and a television) pre-made assets. IT TAKES SO MUCH TIME. Now I know why videogames are so expensive to make GEEZ. On the bright side, I now have several hand painted assets for inquisitive gamers to examine.
I spent a day or two coding and writing a button tutorial to begin the game with. I didn't really like it so I eventually scrapped it.
I added code to the interactive item script which gives interactive items an optional custom sound when interacted with.
I noticed the background music volume was loud so I adjusted the volume accordingly.
I created a parallax effect for the outdoor view using foreground, midground and background layers.
TO DO:
-optional closed captions
-dial tone bug (keeps playing after convo??)
-numbered labels to appear as player progresses through death scene?
-record phone conversation with deceased's brother
-produce music for Seeds away message
